Azzurra De Gregorio conduce una ricerca sul corpo femminile come medium linguistico e come oggetto di simbolizzazioni sociali e antropologiche. Ad Interrelazionale presenta una performance, in cui partendo da uno studio su Miti d’oggi di Roland Barthes, lavora sullo sterotipo della diva cinematografica e televisiva e ne elabora la decostruzione.

I linguaggi televisivi, cinematografici e pubblicitari influenzano la costruzione di modelli e stereotipi sociali, a cui anelare. L’artista mostra l’effetto della proiezione di tali stereotipi sul corpo, che viene privato della sua caducità, della sua verità, della sua carne, ma che la performance gli restituisce. Emerge allora la fragilità della persona dietro al modello, e il corpo cade in un progressivo disfacimento psicofisico.
Azzurra riflette sulla relazione della diva con sè stessa e il modello di sè stessa, con il proprio corpo, con la pressione sociomediatica e sul rapporto controverso con il pubblico. E la libera, ma distruggendone il mito la uccide. Presenta una donna che smantella la costruzione patinata del modello femminile imposto dalla cultura di massa, ma che soccombe sotto il peso del proprio esservi rinchiusa e il suo disfacimento, fino all’estremo culmine, è l’impossibilità di sgretolare un intero sistema culturale.

Azzurra De Gregorio leads a research about the feminine body as a linguistic medium and as an object of social and anthropological symbolizations. For Interrelazionale she presents a performance where, starting from a study on Mythologies by Roland Barthes, she works on the stereotype of the cinematographic and television diva, elaborating her deconstruction.

Television, cinema and advertising languages influence the construction of social models and stereotypes, who are desired. The artist shows the effect of such a projection on the body, that is deprived of its fragility, its truth, its flesh, but in the end the performance gives back to the body those characteristics. Emerges then the persona vulnerability behind the model, and the body falls into a progressive psychological and physical decline.
Azzurra reflects on the relation of the diva with herself and the model of herself, with her own body, with the socio-mediatic pressure and she also reflects on the controversial relationship with the audience. She releases the diva, but destroying her myth she kills her. She presents a woman that dismantles a slick construction of the feminine model imposed by the mass culture, but that succumbs under the weight of being closed in it and her decline, till the extreme of the peak, is the impossibility to crumble the entire cultural system.
